Job Skills/Requirements
SUMMARY
Lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, or machinists' hand tools by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Machines and/or reworks parts with minimal supervision.

Study routers to determine machining and plan layout and assembly.

Grind parts to fit.

Setup and operate surface grinder to grind surface of parts.

Run Bridgeport for various operations.

Assemble parts into product and verify dimensions and alignments.

Test assembled mechanism and verify to assembly dimensions, gages, etc.

Check cosmetics on parts produced.

Provide own tools.
